Hello, my name is Lamar Stropnik, and I have been a model, believe it or not, since I was only a few months old. It all started when my mom sent pictures of me to a local parents magazine, a few weeks later, I was featured on the cover page of their upcoming edition. (See example above) I have continued my modeling career to this day, giving me just over two decades of modeling experience. I began my child modeling career in Milan, Italy, where I have worked with over a hundred different brands, including Benetton, Samsung, Armani, Roberto Cavalli, H&M, Pirelli, etc. Following my move to America, I continued my teen and adult career in the US major markets, modeling in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami. The overall experience was fun and rewarding, as well as provided me with an extensive amount of knowledge regarding what it takes to become a successful model.
Currently working as an agent/booker for one of the industries’ best agencies Future Faces, has also enabled me to see the modeling world from the agency’s perspective. I not only know what goes into living a life as a model but also what goes on behind the scenes in terms of agent responsibilities, client interactions. I am personally responsible for representing models, communicating with clients, and deciding which applicant reaches the agency’s standards. Not many models can say the same, so I believe sharing my wisdom will be very useful for anyone who is currently modeling or is thinking about entering the industry.
The blog will serve as a one-stop informational page, covering a variety of aspects involved with the career as a model. I will provide tips and advice on everyday situations models will be exposed to during their modeling days, as well as easy ways of self-marketing through the use of social media. Information found on this blog will serve as a guide from the first steps in your career, up until you choose to retire. The blog’s content will hopefully make your journey easier, help you reach your goals faster, and provide you with the tools that will maximize your modeling potential.
